This report presents a range of statistics and facts about special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs) worldwide. SPACs are also known as blank check vehicles, and are public companies with neither a specific business plan, nor a product or service to sell. The specific purpose of SPACs is to raise capital and then merge with, or acquire a private company. Most of the data focuses on the United States, because that is the most active region for SPACs as of 2021.
