Study on payment statistics in Europe 2020

"Payment statistics" released by the European Central Bank details figures for various payment instruments as well as payment infrastructure in Euro area countries and European Union countries. The latest release of that report was published in September 2020 and contains data up to the end of 2019. It lists payment instruments, such as credit, debit and e-money cards, cheques, credit transfers and direct debit, for all European Union countries. It also show the state of infrastructure, specifically Automated Teller Machines and POS terminals in the European countries as of 2019.
