In Haiti, malaria cases have been fluctuating in recent years. In 2022, a total of 14,757 malaria cases were reported in the country, an increase of around 55 percent from the 9,513 infections registered in the previous year. At the beginning of the decade, the number of malaria cases in Haiti peaked at 84,000. During the last year depicted, its neighboring country, the Dominican Republic, reported 337 cases of malaria.
