The highest numbers were registered for opioid users entering treatment, with approximately 54.5 thousand total entrants although only 7.4 thousand of those were first-time entrants to drug treatment. Of those entering treatment as a result of cannabis use, approximately 15.1 thousand were first time entrants to treatment.
