This statistic shows the results of a survey about the main incentives for online shopping in the Greater Bay Area in China as of October 2018. During the survey period, around 34 percent of respondents in the Greater Bay Area cities said the convenience to shop anytime and anywhere was a major incentive to do more purchases online.
Leading incentives to increase online shopping in China's Greater Bay Area as of October 2018
The Greater Bay Area is Chinese's government's scheme linking the cities of Hong Kong, Macau, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Zhongshan, Dongguan, Huizhou, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing into an integrated economic and business hub.
In this survey, the Greater Bay Area figures include Hong Kong and the nine mainland China cities listed above. Data for Macau consumers is not available due to insufficient sample size.
100 consumers were surveyed in each of nine cities in mainland China and 500 consumers in Hong Kong.
