According to a survey conducted in Malaysia from the end of January to February in 2023, 48 percent of Malaysian respondents indicated that they visit Malaysiakini on a weekly basis to get their news. In comparison, 39 percent of Malaysian respondents stated that they consume the online news site Astro Awani online weekly.
