According to a survey conducted in South Korea in early 2024, around 55 percent of respondents aged 55 years and older stated that they used YouTube as a source for news, making them the age group with the highest share of people to do so. The overall use of YouTube as a news source fell slightly compared to the previous year, going from 53 percent to 51 percent.
