Number of queer female characters on cable networks in the U.S. 2017-2018
The statistic presents information on the number of lesbian and bisexual female characters appearing on selected cable television networks in the United States in the 2017/2018 season. The data reveals that Freeform included the highest number of lesbian or bisexual female characters in its shows as of the date of survey, with 14 lesbian characters and eight bisexual women appearing on the network. Syfy also embraced more diverse casting approach with ten lesbian characters and five bisexual characters, however most cable TV networks included fewer than five such characters in its shows.
