That year, there were 2.56 thousand hotels with 179.5 thousand rooms and over 342.9 thousand beds in that region. The second most important region for the lodging industry in Brazil in 2018 was the North East. In total, the Portuguese-speaking country counted 7.05 thousand hotels and more than 841.6 hotel beds that year.
