Best-paid male actors India 2023, by earnings per project
As reported on IMDb, Bollywood celebrity Shahrukh Khan was the best paid actor in India followed closely by South India film star, Rajnikanth, both of whom took home earnings worth over two billion Indian rupees as of 2023. While the list was populated by Bollywood actors, several actors from Tollywood (Telugu cinema) and Kollywood (Tamil cinema) also ranked high.

The upward trend was also reflected in the sales of cinema tickets, with an increase in the occupancy of cinemas in the same year.
