This statistic illustrates the opinion of individuals on the legibility of food labels in Italy in 2017. Nutrition labels on the back or side of the packaging include information on the ingredients, energy in kilojoules (kJ) and kilocalories (kcal), fat, saturates, carbohydrate, sugars, protein and salt. As of 2017, only eight percent of consumers thought that all food labels were clearly legible, while about a fifth of respondents believed that only a few of them were legible.
