Deals valued at over one billion U.S. dollars, otherwise known as mega deals, have become more prevalent in general since the mid 1980s. In 2023, there were 396 mega deals completed worldwide. Despite only accounting for just over one percent of total deal volume in 2023, mega deals made up approximately 62 percent of the total deal value.
