Remittances towards the MENA region declined by nearly four percent between 2021 and 2022. In 2021, the region received remittances valued at an estimated 67 billion U.S. dollars instead of 64 billion U.S. dollars in 2022. Forecasts are that the 2021 value will be restored by 2024.
