Between 2016 and 2022, the share of consumers surveyed in the Netherlands who used the self-scan options available at their supermarket increased annually. In 2016, 60 percent of respondents made use of the self-scan options available, whereas by 2022, this figure had increased to nearly 75 percent of respondents.
