This statistic shows the market share of online purchases of consumer electronics in the Netherlands as of December 2018. The source uses its own methodology to calculate the online market share, the so-called "theoretical market share" (in Dutch: theoretisch marktaandeel), in response to numbers reported by the Dutch e-commerce association Thuiswinkel.org. During the survey, Dutch households indicated that 50 percent of them bought computers, tablets and their accessories online. On average, this 50 percent spent 48 percent of their total budget online. That (50 times 0.48) would lead to a theoretical market share of approximately 24 percent, which was the third highest of all product segments in the Netherlands.
