This statistic presents the results of a survey on perceived leading causes of death through interpersonal violence in Malaysia as of 2018. According to data published by Ipsos, around 24 percent of Malaysian respondents thought that most people killed through interpersonal violence in 2015 died from firearms, when the actual share of firearm victims in 2015 was around 23 percent of all violent deaths in Malaysia.
