In 2022, nearly 36 percent of diagnoses of dengue fever in Peru were registered among individuals between the age of 30 and 59. Additionally, about 22.82 percent of dengue infections reported that year in the South American country corresponded to people aged between 18 and 29. Dengue fever is an infectious disease transmitted by the bites of infected Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. As of that year, Dengue infection affected more women than men in Peru.
