The statistics displays the results of a survey of reasons for not eating less meat in the Netherlands in 2017. The survey results suggest that as of 2017, one of the main reasons consumers in the Netherlands did not reduce their meat consumption was that they liked the taste of meat. Close to 60 percent of respondents indicated that they didn't reduce their meat consumption because they liked meat, while a further 41 percent saw meat as an essential part of a meal.
