According to a survey conducted in Japan in 2021, around 34.4 percent of respondents aged four to eleven years old claimed to participate in sports at least three times a week, but less than seven times a week, while about 45.4 percent stated that they exercise at least seven times a week. Approximately 3.1 percent of children, on the other hand, responded that they did not participate in sports at all in the past year.
