During the survey, 36 percent of respondents ages 45 to 54 reported that gig economy jobs were their primary source of income, compared to 34 percent of 18- to 29-year-old respondents, 33 percent of 30- to 44-year-old respondents, and 26 percent of 55- to 64-year-old respondents.
