As of 2018, approximately 70 of the respondents indicated they would use a computer for this purpose, with 15 percent of the respondents using their smartphone.
Unlike many other countries in Europe, Amazon is not active in the Netherlands. Instead, the e-commerce company uses a partially translated version of their German website to appeal to the Dutch audience. Within the Netherlands, Bol.com and Coolblue are the leading webshops, with revenues reaching respectively 1.22 billion euros and 844 million euros in 2017.
