Number of deaths from lung cancer in Italy 2021, by gender and area
In 2021, a total of 31,797 deaths from trachea, bronchus and lung cancers were registered in Italy. The Italian macro-region in which the most deaths from such malignant neoplasms occurred was the North-West. In this area, in fact, around nine thousand deaths from this cause were recorded. Deaths from trachea, bronchus and lung cancers seemed to be much more common among male individuals than among female ones.
