According to a survey conducted in a selection of countries in Latin America in 2023, Argentina had the highest share of respondents that believed there was readily available information on how to take care of one's own health in their country, with 57 percent of interviewees agreeing with that statement. Meanwhile, only 35 percent of respondents in Peru claimed the same about the availability of health information for personal care. In 2020, Argentina spent approximately 10 percent of its GDP on health care.
