According to the findings, there has a been a downward trend in both users' perceptions and ratings of social media platforms' assessment towards privacy and the amount of ads that are prevalent on their sites. In 2015, users had rated social media privacy with a satisfaction score of 77 out of 100, while by 2018 this value had dropped six index points to 71. Similarly for the amount of ads on sites, in 2015, users ranked their satisfaction with a score of 74 out of 100, while by 2018 this value had dropped towards an index rating of 68.
