This statistic displays the ratio of loans that were overdue and therefore defaulted in Portugal from December 2016 to September 2019, by debtor. It can be seen that for non-financial corporations and households the ratio of loans that were overdue decreased during this time period. The ratio of loans to non-financial corporations decreased from 15.2 percent as of December 2016 to 8.2 percent as of September 2019. Non-profit institutions serving households increased by 35.1 percent during the same time period.
