This statistic displays the results of a survey asking a nationally representative sample of the population aged between 18 and 64 years in China about their entrepeneurial activities. During the survey period, 5.4 percent of the respondents (about 62 percent of all respondents with entrepeneurial activities) predicted that there would be no job creation for the first five years of their business.

The survey data shows that 8.7 percent of the total respondents reported to be involved in early stage of entrepreneurial activity, either in the process of starting a business or already started a business which is less than 42 months old.
