In the summer of 2021, Tokyo prefecture recorded the highest number of emergency transports of patients suffering heat strokes, with more than 3.3 thousand. In the previous year, Tokyo also ranked first among the 47 prefectures with heatstroke patients with more than 3.4 thousand cases.
