With almost double the share of voice of the second largest financial service website, moneysupermarket.com was the leading website with 14.8 percent. Only two other companies on the UK's financial services market and an online share of voice (SoV) of over five percent. This included comparethemarket.com (7.9 percent) and gocompare.com (7.7 percent).

Share of Voice (SoV) refers to the search visibility of a player, as a percentage of the entire market online. This 'Market' refers to thousands of the most relevant and valuable sector-specific search terms, and the thousands of players returning for each one of those individual terms. The result is a huge sub-set of search visibility and competitor / brand performance insight. According to the source, SoV was determined by analyzing thousands of the most commercially valuable, category-specific search terms in Google UK, to showcase traffic, organic performance and share of voice across more than 74,000 websites.
