The deal was closed on 31 December, 2016, with the new venture providing video, broadband internet, fixed-line telephony and mobile services to residential and business customers in the Netherlands.
As of 2016, VodafoneZiggo's predecessor Ziggo generated a revenue in broadband internet of approximately 675 million euros, a decrease compared to the previous year when the revenue amounted to roughly 700 million euros.
