As of September 2021, around 36.3 percent of respondents in a survey on consumer's grocery shopping trends in South Korea stated they preferred buying groceries in large supermarkets. More than 82 percent answered to have shopped there at least once during the last three months.

*The survey was conducted among 158 men in single person households as well as 1,142 women in households of all sizes who buy groceries at least once a month.
