This statistic shows the results of a 2019 survey on how concerned people in Russia are about the use of disposable, non-recyclable products, such as plastic straws. According to data published by Ipsos, 82 percent of the respondents were concerned about this issue, compared with 15 percent who were not concerned.
Level of concern with the use of disposable, non-recyclable products among people in Russia in 2019
The original wording of the question was as follows: "Some people have recently been discussing the effects on the environment of plastic packaging, plastic bags, and other disposable objects which cannot be recycled. How concerned, if at all, would you say you are about this issue?"
* Respondents from 28 countries around the world. Approximately 500 individuals aged between 16 and 65 years were surveyed in Russia.
** The source specified that Russia produced "a national sample that is more urban & educated, and with higher incomes than their fellow citizens. We refer to these respondents as 'Upper Deck Consumer Citizens'. They are not nationally representative of their country."
Where results do not sum to 100 or the ‘difference’ appears to be+-1 more/less than the actual, this may be due to rounding, multiple responses or the exclusion of don't knows or not stated responses.
