Daily time spent on basic activities among Japanese 2021, by activity and day of week
According to a survey conducted in 2021, people in Japan spent the majority of their time for primary activities on sleeping, with a weekly average of around 471 minutes or seven hours and 51 minutes per night. The highest amount of time used for sleeping was on Sundays, with about 508 minutes or eight hours and 28 minutes on average.
