The source adds the following information: "Finnpanel Oy produces the TV ratings by the means of panel research. Peoplemeters are installed installed to each TV set of a 1000 household sample (approximately 2200 individuals). "
"The peoplemeter approach is a continuous 24-hour measurement of in-home viewing from a long term panel of households, which is equipped with metering devices to monitor changes in set status and viewer appearance. The meter uses a remote control, with each member of the family having his or her own push button on the remote control. Finnpanel polls the stored meter data daily in the early hours of the morning and the first overnight reports are published at 7 a.m."
The TAM survey is controlled by a group of subscribers, including representatives from the main broadcasters, media agencies and advertisers.
The results have been weighted to represent the entire population.
