This graph shows trends in the prevalence of total dental caries and untreated dental caries in permanent teeth among youth in the U.S. from 2011 to 2016. In 2011-2012, almost 50 percent of youth aged between 2 to 19 years suffered from dental caries, whereas in 2015-2016 this figure decreased to 45.8 percent.
