This statistic presents the views of how much Russian-backed social media content had an influence on the 2016 presidential election outcomes. During the April 2018 survey period, 27 percent of respondents stated that Russian-backed social media content very likely influenced the outcome of the elections, while in comparison 21 percent reported the complete opposite saying it was not likely at all to have had any influence.
