This statistic displays the share of new businesses founded in Italy between 2010 and 2012 that were still in operation three years after they have been formed, broken down by sector. Newly established companies in Italy in high automation sectors, such as machinery for metalworking and metal products, reported the highest survival rates (66 percent and 65.7 percent, respectively). In the food and beverage sector, approximately 54 percent of the companies grounded between 2010 and 2010 survived the first three years.
