Excessive alcohol consumption among female individuals in Italy, 2007-2022
Overall, the share of female individuals consuming excessive amounts of alcohol in Italy decreased between 2007 and 2022, and stagnated around six percent from 2014 to 2022. In 2007, the share of heavy drinkers accounted for 10.2 percent of Italian women, whereas it was assessed at 6.1 percent by the end of 2022.
