In 2022, offenses against heritage and socioeconomic order were the type of cyber crime with the highest number of court proceedings in Spain, totaling 20388 procedures. Online crimes against the freedom and sexual freedom followed, totaling 1720 and 1507 juridical procedures each during the same period.

The data has been obtained from the information transferred to the Central Unit of Computer Crime from the Provincial Prosecutors in reference to the unlawful acts of the competence of the specialty, as they are delimited in the Instruction 2/2011 of the General Prosecutor's Office of the State on the Prosecutor of the Computer Crime Room and the computer crime sections of the Prosecutor's Offices.
