The Netherlands connected three new wind farms in 2023, Hollandse Kust Noord 5, Hollandse Kust Zuid 1&2, and Hollandse Kust Zuid 3&4. Combined, they accounted for a new capacity of more than 1.9 gigawatts. Seagreen, located off the coast of Scotland in the North Sea, was the largest offshore wind farm connected to the grid in 2023, with a capacity of 820 megawatts.
