In 2020, the coronavirus pandemic had a huge impact on the live sports industry as many events were cancelled and leagues were postponed or suspended. During a July 2020 survey in the United States, 46 percent of respondents stated that they regularly watched the NFL live before the suspension of sports as a result of the pandemic.
