The number of employees of the Italian pharmaceutical company Menarini steadily increased over time. In 2000, the company counted 7,954 employees, while in 2023 the number more than doubled reaching roughly 17,800 workers.

Also, the revenue generated by the company increased over time and peaked in 2023 at over 4.4 billion euros. Interestingly, in 2018 Menarini was the pharmaceutical firm with the second best reputation according to the Italian public opinion.

Also, Menarini has a very strong international presence. As a matter of fact, in 2023, only 21 percent of the earnings were generated by the company in Italy, whereas 79 percent of the revenue came from abroad. This is true not only for Menarini, but also for most of the leading Italian pharmaceutical firms.
