This statistic shows the results of a survey in which U.S. consumers were asked which stores and services they saw more or less often in their local retail environment. According to the survey, 29 percent of respondents noticed more coffee houses and coffee bars among their local businesses in the last three years, while 39 percent of respondents noticed fewer bookstores compared to three years ago.
