This statistic shows the results of a survey showing the share of individuals in Euro area countries that have a precautionary cash reserve at home or in a safe place (e.g. safety deposit box) in 2016. Slovakia had the highest percentage of individuals with a cash reserve with 40 percent of respondents answering that they have an extra amount of cash outside of a bank. People from France on the other hand were less likely in 2016 to have a cash reserve with 15 percent.
