This statistic displays the results of a survey conducted in Italy between February and March 2017. During the survey individuals were asked whether they found useful to learn more about banking and/or financial products and services. According to the findings, 55 percent of respondents found these topics helpful, but they would like to learn more about it only if these additional pieces of information were offered free of charge. Further 35 percent of respondents declared that knowing about banking and financial products would be definitely useful to them.

The respondents were represented as follows: 51% men and 49% women; 56% of the total respondents were in the 35-59 age category. Moreover, 58% of them held a higher education diploma (3+ years). A large proportion of respondents were living in the Italian regions of Lazio (35%), Lombardy (14%) and Emilia-Romagna (11%).
