Perception of own state of health in Brazil 2023, by age
In 2023, the share of adults who claimed to have a poor state of health was six percent in Brazil. This negative perception of their own health was higher among older segments of the population, particularly those aged 55 and 64, with over seven percent of respondents perceiving their health condition as bad or very bad. Moreover, when asked how they would evaluate their health status, women assessed it worse than men in Brazil.
