This statistic presents the number of Winter Olympic medals and diplomas won by Spanish athletes until 2018, by type. After the Winter Olympic Games held in Pyeongchang (South Korea), Spanish athletes had won a total number of four medals. In Sapporo 1972, Francisco Fernández Ochoa (Slalom) won the only gold medal that the Spanish Winter Olympic Team have. The remaining three bronze medals were won in Albertville 1992 (Slalom) and in Pyeongchang 2018 (Snowboard cross and figure skating).
