A 2022 survey exploring sporting habits in Spain found that 72.2 percent of respondents followed sports through audiovisual media, compared to just 31.1% who attended live events. However, the study showed that there was a decrease in interest in attending sports events in Spain from 2015 to 2020. By 2020, only 65% of respondents watched sports through media, and a mere 19% attended live events.
