This statistic presents the quarterly evolution of the average duration of trips with internal destination made by residents in Spanish homes between 2018 and 2019. In the third quarter of 2019, trips within the country of residents in Spain lasted on average slightly longer than in the same period of the previous year.

The data correspond to estimates of the Tourism Survey of residents of the National Statistics Institute of Spain. Since February 2015, this continues the Statistics of tourist movements of the Spanish (Familitur) of the General Subdirectorate of Knowledge and Tourism Studies of Spain.
The source considers journeys to places outside the usual environment, for any reason other than employment in a company established in the place visited, which involve at least one overnight stay and a duration of less than one year.
