The number of worked hours by paid staff increased by over one percent in Spain in 2021. The paid personnel index reached its highest point in 2009 at 130.8. In 2021, the value of this index was 103.3. The index analyzing the employment levels in construction in Spain have also fluctuated during the past years.

The statistics presents the results of the Survey of Production Indices of the Construction Industry (EIPIC). This survey is carried out in order to evaluate the evolution of the main variables of the companies whose main activity is construction (CNAE-2009).
