This statistic reflects the annual evolution of the income of the Society of Management of Authors and Publishers (SGAE) from the listening and downloading of digital music in Spain between 2012 and 2016. In 2016, digital music contributed five million euros to the social income of the SGAE. Of them, approximately four million came from listening on online platforms such as Spotify, which meant an increase of more than 500,000 euros compared to the figure recorded the previous year.
